WaterSHED Ventures is recruiting a creative Marketing Specialist who will work under the guidance of the General Manager. The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for creating and managing dynamic campaigns to strengthen the product lines sold across Cambodia by WaterSHED Ventures and its retail partners.
A member of the senior team of Ventures, the Marketing Specialist will be principally responsible for the overall product marketing strategy of the company, and importantly will build the brand of its flagship products for maximum long-term market penetration.
He/she will be responsible for analyzing and investigating demand and competition, devising and presenting new marketing ideas and tactics, designing promotional activities that can be feasibly replicated across a rapidly expanding geographic sales territory, monitoring marketing effectiveness against performance indicators; and tweaking tools and dissemination media on an ongoing basis.
The Marketing Specialist will be focused on retail marketing support, responsible for the development of point-of-sales tools, as well as content development for campaigns in Cambodia. It will be the job of the Marketing Specialist to support sales performance of cooperating retailers, initiating campaign and promotional schemes, helping to cultivate close partnerships with retailers. As POS tools and retail campaigns are developed and become integrated, he/she will offer effective, proactive, and ongoing support and engagement (also working through Ventures’ indirect sales team). He/she will also support the development of presentations at group meetings, including the key message themes and concepts, as well as overall value proposition.
The Marketing Specialist will conduct ongoing tool effectiveness checks and adjustment and re-calibration (e.g. will frequently travel to project location and check if marketing tools are effective to trigger purchase decision of consumers in various regions of project location. Media outreach will also be supported by the Marketing Specialist.

- Degree in marketing, business or related field
- Minimum one year work experience in a business and/or marketing role
- Excellent speaking and writing skills in Khmer and working knowledge of English.
- Experience using the Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator or equivalent
- Creative, self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Works well under pressure and on tight deadlines
