WaterSHED Ventures designs innovative, attractive products and bring them to market at an affordable price. These products save lives by making it easy for people in developing countries to get clean water, use a toilet and wash their hands. We target communities throughout Indochina and plan to expand throughout South Asia where more than half a billion people still defecate outdoors and live without access to clean water. WaterSHED Ventures is seeking a dynamic and energetic Cambodian national to take on the position of HR Business Partner to provide appropriate support to regional sales managers and teams in sourcing, developing, and managing staff. To provide advice to the Managing Director and Sales Managers in succession planning and using human capital effectively within the business. To provide support and consultation to managers and employees on HR policies, processes, guidance and other HR related issues and ensures the HR processes in the company are in full compliance.

  • Recruit and hire sales staff and other staff in each region where WaterSHED Ventures has business operations;
  • Design orientation and sales training for staff, in collaboration with internal and external partners where appropriate;
  • Implement and manage orientation training, sales training, and subsequent trainings for staff;
  • Implement performance management system to support professional achievement and development of staff;
  • Create HR documentation for compliance and employee information as needed;
  • Responsible for management of training resources, documentation, and other HR and training resources to build a library of easily accessible documentation, tools, and resources in the company;
  • Provide coaching and professional development support to staff where necessary;
  • Develop talent pool to have suitable candidates ready to fill positions when needed;
  • Manage and resolve staff queries related to their employment and management, grievances, and disputes, in compliance with labor law and company policies and values;
  • Participate and oversee in succession planning for key roles in the organization;
  • Participate in business planning and strategy development to ensure that human capital in the organization matches current and future business needs.
  • Experienced in designing and managing staff development programs
  • Proven experience in successfully collaborating with internal subject matter experts and external partners for design of staff development programs and content
  • Experienced in pro-active sourcing, selecting, and hiring of sales staff
  • Experience in job design and succession planning for small and medium sized business needs, or for team development in larger organizations
  • Experience in working with other departments or planning committees for integrating HR and business activities
  • Strong working knowledge of Cambodian Labor Law, employment policies, and staff contracting
  • Working knowledge and experience in administering payroll, compensation and benefits, and bonus payment systems; experience in designing strategic compensation policies is a plus
  • Experience working in a retail or distribution business is desirable

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in business administration, human resources, organization development, or other related function.
  • Professional HR certification or certification in learning and development is desirable
  • Master’s level qualification in relevant business or HR field is desirable
